The food is good but is the same quality as another restaurant called Dry Dock that has better service and a better view. If you are looking for a good breakfast at the lake, I would suggest Dry Dock over The Hut.

Hmmm some bad service reviews? I went there twice this weekend and very good service and food both times. They advertise a 1/3 lb burger, it was bigger than that and very good. Ruben sandwich was delicious. I ordered wings, they were huge and very good! Ordered the fries "extra crispy" and they were perfect! Nice deck with very comfortable chairs. Only bad thing is I wish I would have tried The Hut last year! I will be back!

This location has had many names and owners over the years which were pretty good and this one was pretty much in line with my expectations. I had breakfast with my sister-in-law and decided on the crabcake eggs benedict and coffee. This intrigued me as I have never had this particular combo. I was advised that it was a very large portion and that I may be fine with a half plate. I was thrilled that a half plate could be had and I must say it was plenty. The crabcake was good, the egg was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was the classic holandaise. The hash browns were COVERED in cheese (yay!). Truly I was delighted with the food. We were able to sit outside on the deck portion of the restaurant at a high top in perfect weather. Our waitress could have been a tad more attentive as I like to have my coffee refilled or warmed up a few times during my meal vs. just once or twice. Regardless, I was happy and would recommend to others to have breakfast here.

I wish I could rate the food, but I'm 35 minutes in to this adventure and it hasn't arrived yet. Instead I'll turn to my room temperature orange juice for comfort, which is ok considering it was room temperature when it arrived. I'm at the point now where I'm prepping for the long haul. I've cleared my Monday calendar and made myself a nice little fort for shelter. If you're reading this, send help. And maybe some tacos from Taco House.

Good food, super great service even though they seem short-staffed. We got our food more quickly here than any other restaurant. Great kid meals, too!

$6 for a kid's smuckers pb&j you find for a dollar in a grocer. Paid $18 for appetizer trio that had wings, mushrooms and mini tacos. The portions given would have costed less than $15 in most other restaurants. The mini tacos are a joke, deep fried half spoon full of meat poorly slopped into a greasy shell. The wings were practically just the frozen ones you buy in the store, served with some plain BBQ sauce and no spice. The mushrooms were actually OK. The service was pretty poor as well, lunch on a week day with maybe a half dozen other tables and it took 10 minutes to get drink orders, another 10 to bring them and my coffee wasn't refilled once the whole time I was there. It's over priced, service is bad and the food is bootsy to put it nicely. You're better off going grocery shopping and making the stuff yourself at home.

Absolutely the worst place. Went in to get a drink and an app. They had something called queso sticks. I asked what they were and the guy said cheese sticks. So I ordered them and a glass of Chardonnay. When I got the sticks, I had a bite. They weren't cooked all the way through and they were Cheddar jack cheese. I was surprised that I wasn't told they were THAT kind of cheese. When I got my glass of wine, it certainly wasn't chard.. I think it was a pino. When I was asked if liked then cheese, I said they were awful. The girl said everyone has their own taste. All in all, it was pricey and terrible food. I won't be going back..

Today was the last day my extended family and I were in Okoboji and the Hutt was our last stop/meal before we parted ways. As a group of 10, I totally expect a longer wait to be seated so the 30+ minutes we sat outside in the sun was not of any concern. What makes me give only 1 star was our experience after that. We placed our breakfast orders as soon as we were sat since we made our choices while waiting outside. Drinks were delivered but our server never came back until my husband stopped her 35 min later to ask the status of our meals. She came back 5-10 min later to say it would be another 20 min!!! By that time we had been waiting nearly 45 min and she had the nerve to argue over the time frame. My husband, son, and I had to get on the road within about 15 min of that so we told her to cancel our 3 meals and we left. We had to grab lunch at a drive thru. Checking in with our family that stayed behind, we learned they too left before their meals as 25 min later, they still hadn't been served. Ridiculous! Over an hour wait for eggs, toast, and hash browns. Thanks to them for ending our vacation with a sour taste. Do not eat here!!!!

Not tried this place for anything other than breakfast. I can tell you their breakfast ROCKS! Best Bloody Mary's in the Lakes area. Crab Cake Benedict is perfect. Portions are huge. Service is friendly and efficient. Nice addition to the Lakes dining scene.

This place was recommended to is by some locals, but my friend and I were not impressed. We went for a Friday lunch. The patio was very busy. It took a long time for service and food. I ordered the cod sandwich. I was hoping for a nice big flakey cod fillet. No such luck - it was like a giant fish stick patty. $8.75 for this sandwich and fries? Not impressed. The ice tea tasted chlorinated like I was made from pool water. My friend ordered the the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. She said the meat was dry and the flavor was bland. We would not go back. :/

We stopped in for breakfast here and it was BOMB. I had the Eggs Benedict ($9) at about 9am this morning and have yet to eat anything else as of 6pm when I write this. In terms of portions, The Hutt is everything that Bracco is not. The Hutt will definitely be the recurring breakfast spot when we visit Okoboji again!!

5 meals, 5 empty plates! Tenderloins, chicken melt, patty melt and burgers... It was all awesome food. Our waitress was also friendly and tentative. Local draft beer is only $2.50! We're anxious to come back for our next great meal!

It was fair. The Hutt chicken sandwich was nothing special. My husband ordered wings and was envious of my parents' Reuben sandwiches. My son got the shrimp basket and wasn't enough for a growing boy. I had 2 of the $2.50 beers, that was good!

My friends and I went to The Hut for breakfast because it was within walking distance. I had read a few reviews that made it sound somewhat iffy but we decided to give it a chance. When we walked in at 10 am it seamed rather busy. We we standing in line by the "please wait to be seated" sign with another group for about 5 minutes before we realized there was a counter around the corner where you can put your name on the seating list. After putting our name in we only had to wait another 5 minutes to be seated. After being seated we waited about 5 minutes for our waitress to come over and take our drink orders. We had already looked at menu's so we were ready to order food at the same time. Only the breakfast menu is available before 11am. It is very simple and basic but provided some good options. We placed our order at 10:15. We did not see the waitress again until 11:00 when she brought over silverware and left without saying anything to us. She had not stopped to check in, fill our drinks or assure us the food order would be out soon. At 11:25 when we still had not received our food or heard from our waitress when we got up to leave. We stopped at the counter to pay for our drinks and they told us their was no need to pay. She had a demeanor that made me assume this has happened before. I would love to rate the food but we never received any. I'm still craving biscuits and gravy.

Ate there over the 4th of July....they were super busy and the food was still great. The wait wasn't terrible considering it is the 4th of July! Loved it and will return soon!!!
